Features
Allied Gateway Mandarin Immersion Programs are composed of three parts: University Class Training, Allied Gateway Real Life Instruction and Extra Curriculum Activities. The University Class Training integrates all different skills of the language: phonetics, speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary. Allied Gateway Real Life Instruction is held every two weeks exclusively to Allied Gateway participants. Instructions occur in real life environment with one subject in each section. Subjects include eating, transportation, theatre, shopping, job-hunting, seeing a doctor etc. Extra Curriculum Activities includes cultural workshops, weekend sightseeings and social activities.
The program allows you to immerse yourself in real life experiences that require you to utilize and develop your Mandarin communication skills through authentic daily practice and activities.

Curriculum
Classes are divided into 3 basic levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. A placement test will be conducted after enrolment at the university.
Curriculum are designed to meet the needs of each proficiency level and the program length to ensure you progress rapidly and able to communicate in Chinese in a more effective and efficient manner.

Placement Test
Classes are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced. An overall placement test including reading, writing, speaking and listening is carried out at the beginning of the program in order to place you in the most suitable environment. Beginners don’t need to take the test.

Pengyou (friends) Exchange Program
It's crucial to use the language when learning a second lanuage. To create the language environment and encourage participants to use the language as much as they can, Allied Gateway will arrange participants with a local Chinese friend based on age, sex and interests. Not only it’s the one of the best ways to enhance your listening and speaking skills, but also an effective way to grasp the most updated language. In addition, you will grasp a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and society through the interaction.
Extra Curriculum Activities
Allied Gateway organizes a range of activities for Program Participants not only to improve the language competency, but also help them understand Chinese culture. Activities weekend sightseeing, cultural workshops and social activities.

Evaluation and Certificates
Small quizzes will be carried out now and then to test the progress. In the middle of the program, a middle exam will be conducted and a final one at the end of the Program. Participants will receive official diplomas and certificates including transcripts.
Accommodation
Campus Standard/Studio (Double/Single)
Live on campus conveniently at International Students Dorms. Single and double occupancy available. All rooms are furnished with TV, telephone, bed, desk and chairs with private bathroom & 24 hours hot water available.

Allied Gateway provides airport pick-up service for Program Participants. Our staff will meet you at the arrival gate of BeijngInternationalAirport after your get your luggage and take you to your accommodation. You need to provide us with correct flight information – flight number / date 2 weeks before your program starts. Airport drop-off service is offered when program finishes. To make sure smooth transition, you will be provided with Allied Gateway contact number before you come to China in case of last minute change.
