Course Description
3-month Acupuncture and Moxibustion Program of Introductory Level is offered to those who possess no prior education of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) but interested in TCM. Basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine will be taught for the first two months. In the last month, local clinical practice will be conducted with instructors.
Combine theory with practice, classroom lectures followed by hospital probation.
Apart from the traditional way of learning of sitting through classes, participants also get valuable opportunity during the last month of the program to follow with TCM doctors at local hospital.

Teaching Method
Lectures in classroom, coaching in groups, hospital probation, lectures on a special topic and visits to hospitals will be undertaken so as to consolidate the acquired knowledge and technique.
Curriculum
Curriculums are designed to enable participants to have a good understanding of basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine and treatment skills after the study Classes are divided into morning and afternoon sections.
For the first two months, classes will be focused on TCM theories. During the last month of the program, students will start to follow the teacher to practice in local hospital as a group of 4 or 5 in the morning. Classes and lectures will be held in the afternoon.

- Techniques, therapeutics of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

- General introduction to treatment with acupuncture and moxibustion

- Brief introduction to ear acupuncture
Objectives
Through 3 month study, the participants will be able to acquire a brief understanding of basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine and a preliminary mastery of fundamentals of acupuncture and moxibustion in relation to basic techniques of manipulation and locations of about 120 commonly - used points as well as therapeutic methods of treating about 25 kinds of common diseases by applying the theory of differentiating syndromes according to channels and collaterals.
Evaluation and Certificates
With a view to ensuring the teaching quality, appropriate examinations will be held at the end of the training course. Diplomas will be issued to the participants who pass the examination successful.

Campus Single
Live on campus at Foreign Students Dorm. All rooms furnished with bed, desk, chair, lamp, telephone, air-conditioner and private bathroom. Hot water available in the morning and evening.
Hostel
Clean and convenient, hostel offers you another option of living in Beijing. All the rooms are furnished with bed, bed linen, desk, lamp, private shower and airconditioner.
Hotel
Live in a 3-star hotel conveniently located close to the university. Single occupancy or double shared standard room available. The hotel rooms are well furnished with bed, TV, telephone, fridge, private bathroom, desk, internet access and air-conditioner. Hotel facilities include laundry, gym and daily house-keeping.
Airport Transfer
We provide free airport arrival-pick-up service to Program Participants. Our staff will meet you at the arrival gate after you get your luggage and take you to your accommodation. You need to provide us with correct flight information – flight number / flight date / airport name 2 weeks before your program starts. To make sure smooth transition, you will be provided with a contact number before you come to China in case of last minute changes.
