Mandarin Immersion Summer Program
 

Program Description
Study Chinese and experience unique Chinese culture during Summer holiday. Learn Chinese and practice the language during trips and excursions. Transcripts and certificate available. During the course of the program, weekend trips, electives will be held in the afternoon.

The program allows you to immerse yourself in real life experiences that require you to utilize and develop your Mandarin communication skills through authentic daily practice and activities.

Features
The Mandarin Immersion Program consists of two parts: Class Training and the Real Life Instruction. The Class Training integrates all different skills of the language: phonetics, speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary. Allied Gateway Real Life Instruction is held once a week exclusively to our participants. Instructions occur in real life settings with one subject in each section. Subjects include eating, transportation, theatre, shopping, job-hunting, seeing a doctor etc.

Curriculum
Classes are divided into 3 basic levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. A placement test will be conducted after enrolment.

Curriculums are designed to meet the needs of each proficiency level and the program length to ensure you progress rapidly and able to communicate in Chinese in a more effective and efficient manner.

Placement Test
Classes are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced 3 basic levels. An overall placement test including reading, writing, speaking and listening is carried out at the beginning of the program in order to place you in the most suitable environment. Beginners don’t need to take the test.

Airport Transfer
With flight details, we can provide free airport arrival-pick-up service to program participant.

Accommodation
Accommodation is optional at extra cost.

Standard campus dorms for single and double occupation are available on first come first served basis. All rooms are fully furnished with airconditioner, TV, telephone, bed, desk, book shelf and private bathroom with 24 hours hot water. Public kitchen and washing machine are provided at each level.

Accommodation checks in one day before program start-date, checks out the next day to program finish-date.
